One Month Stats
Weight: 9lbs 3 oz (up 2 lbs from birth!)
Length: 20.75 ( at birth you were 19.5)
Our Favorite thing you do: Throw your hands up in the air while you’re sleeping when you hear a loud noise or get startled. Your little cough is a very close second because its pretty dramatic.
Our least favorite thing you do: Cry because of gas in your tummy. Its painful for us to watch and we are doing everything we can to help your tummy troubles. We are testing new bottles nearly every week, used gas drops and next we are going to change your formula. Anything to keep you from those crying fits, we know that can’t be fun.
From your momma: Babycakes, I feel like we are finally getting to know each other. I feel like I understand you which is a relief from the first 2 weeks we spent together. We have our little schedule going and now we are going to finally start venturing out into the world with you. You are the sweetest baby and sometimes I just cannot stop looking at your sweet little face. It really pains me to see you squirm in pain from gas. We are working on that and soon we will figure it out something to make things a little easier on you.
I really hope to do these little monthly updates to go along with your monthly photos so we can all look back and see what was going on then. Also I hope to add some more fun categories to these stats!
Fun idea from the wife!

Robert Palmer - Addicted To Love
Oh man. You, Owen, have to love this song! It was an absolute favorite of mine. I remember as a young kid (we’re talking around 5 years old) getting up and dancing to the music video for Addicted To Love every time it came on MTV. Actually MTV is something we will have to tell you about too as there was once a channel that played music videos all day that then became a junky reality show channel.
This video was pretty iconic for videos in the 1980s. It was Robert Palmer singing with a backing band of models. All dark-haired models with milky white skin (make-up) and red lipstick. This meant nothing to me as a kid other than the dance I would do mimicked the girls in every way. We will show you the video and you will either laugh hysterically at the thought of me dancing that way or dance that way yourself. I’m hoping for the latter as it is quite infectious.
I think I may go find that video now and get up and dance to it a bit. “Might as well face it, you’re addicted to love!”
Oh yes, I absolutely used to dance along to this video.

This AAA umpire should never get another call up.
How bad was this missed call? Back to AAA with you scrub umpire. And take that joke Bill Welke with you. You know, that umpire for 13 years that cannot seem to ever even be halfway decent enough to work the playoffs year after year.
It’s a job I’d gladly do except it is all political to get there and the required “schools” are jokes at best. Leaves you with the shitty umps we have today!

Welcome to the world Owen!
Owen Wade Faught was born today (April 16th) at 1:21pm! This blog will serve as a way for his mom and I to hopefully pass along our love for music! Each day starting tomorrow, we will post a random song with a story behind the song. Why we like it, why it made the list, what is special or even funny about the song.
These songs are being collected for the little guy for when he is older and with hope he will enjoy quite a few of them and not completely laugh at his parents’ taste!
I hope you enjoy this blog as much as we will enjoy writing it!
Hey everyone! I started a blog for our beautiful baby boy that came into the world yesterday afternoon. Michelle and I are big time music lovers and so I wanted to create a blog written to him from us about the songs we love. I’m keeping them all together and when he is a bit older, the appropriate songs (some definitely won’t be for a while) will be played for him so that he can enjoy, laugh at our tastes, you know, do what kids do when they listen to their parents’ music.
One of my best memories as a kid was listening to music at home or in the car with my parents. Most especially Breakfast With The Beatles on Sunday mornings. It is a tradition I do hope to continue myself with little Owen!
Follow along if you want to hear a new song each day. Many you might know, some you will not, but I do hope it might be a fun blog for others to follow as we chronicle our music and what it meant to us for him!
